Open Question: Is being able to work from home online a floating myth?
Mon, 19 Nov 2007 00:27:46 GMT
All I see is promises of being able to work from home, but when I peer into the yahoo world all I see is a bunch of people chasing their tails. It seem's quite logical to be able to operate from home being that it slims down on the over head cost and the work hours could be extended without any labor laws breatheing down your neck. Do anybody have any real leads to working from home instead of selling that I have a dream speach or having to do countless survey's or having to con your friends or relatives into joining some program in order for you to get paid?
Open Question: High School - Social Life?

I've always been a bit of a loner. This year is my first year in high school, and I try my best to talk to as many people as I can. On the bus ride I don't talk to anyone. I have 4 or 5 friends that I hang out with in the cafeteria in the morning (most are from my elementary school). There is a kid that I have never met until now that I can talk to in my first period class (geography). I get along well with him. In my next class (art) there is a group of people that I am familiar with. Most of the time I just sit and do my work, but sometimes I say a few things here and there to some of the people in that group. Next period (lunch) I sit with a few of my elementary school friends (a lot of my other friends are in another lunch period). Sometimes I sit at a table with a lot of people, so I don't look like a loner. I eat my lunch and then go to the library to either read a magazine/book or do my homework/study. In my next class (Science) I don't really yap with anyone. (Cont).......
Sometimes I say a few things here and there to the people around me. In my last class (math) I also do my work, but I often joke with the people around me there also. When it's time to go home, I go to my locker, get my stuff and wait for the bus outside. Occasaionally I come across someone that I say "hey" to or am friendly with. I board the bus home (not really talking to anyone) and that's about it for the day. Why am I telling you all of this? Because I want to know if, in your opinion, my social life is ok. I want to be able to talk to people, and I don't want to be a COMPLETE loner. Am I doing fine? Do I just need to keep up what I have been doing for 4 more years and then I don't have to worry about this crap anymore?
